Let’s talk Wedding Budgeting!
Although your wedding day is one of the most special days you will ever plan, getting married can also be a very expensive time!
Weddings do not have to cost an absolute fortune but it is worth setting a budget to keep spending a little under control.
We all want our big day to go to plan and be exactly what we dream of but sometimes your wedding budget will not stretch to some suppliers costs. This is where your wedding budgeting skills will have to take control.
Here are just 3 tips to help:
- Stick to Your Budget – Outline what you want to spend on your big day from the outset and be prepared to stick to it. It’s so easy to overspend on weddings as a whole but if you break down the different aspects of it, this will be a much easier task to deliver in the long run.
- Overspend & Reduce – If you overspend on one thing, then reduce the cost on another. It’s as simple as that. If you have saved some money on a friend making your cake, then spend that extra money on the flowers or stationery. The budget allowance doesn’t have to be completely strict as long as you keep to the overall budget. Where you can save, save and where you can spend, spend a bit more, spend a bit more on what you’ve saved on other things.
- Online Invites – As the world becomes ever more digital, this increases the options of having online invitations instead of actual physical ones. Create these on the computer and email them to all your friends. Again, one thing to be careful with…Close family members, (nans, grandads, parents) may want an actual invite as a keepsake, so think carefully about just having a few made up for them to keep but email everyone else with the details and a link so that they can reply digitally if they would like to.
HAVE FUN :)
