So you’ve decided to give wedding favours?
But how do you choose with the growing amount available these days?
A box, chests, top hats, cones, pillows, hexagons, hearts, clowns, animals…?
Well, decide on the colours of the favours or go for the traditional white/ivory to blend with your colour scheme.
Then you have to decide what shape you are going to have.
More suppliers are producing all sorts of shapes these days but go with one that will reflect you and your groom’s personality. Don’t go for something outrageous if this is just not your character.
There is also the choice of organza pouches tied with ribbon and these are very easy to make yourself to save on the budget.
Once the shape or style is decided upon, will you have anything else decorating them?
Ribbons and flowers are mostly used and nowadays, the ribbon can be personalised with dates of the wedding or the bride and groom’s names.
To decide on what you will fill the boxes with can be endless too within reason.
You don’t have to go with tradition of sugared almonds and especially if you are going to have child favours too. They will much prefer a few sweets or miniature bar of chocolate!
A nice touch is to include a little amount of confetti or sparkle shapes for when the favours are opened.
It is usual to give different favours to different guests. So women, men and children have differing styles but try to tie them in to the same theme to avoid clashes on the table.
