Bridal Hair Tips & Advice…
So you’ve booked your big day.

Got the dress of your dreams.
What next?
Wedding hair!
Here are several tips to help you choose the right style and hairdresser for our special day.
Do your research.
- Most wedding fairs will have several hairdressers exhibiting. Ask to view their portfolios.
- If you have booked the venue ask if they recommend a hairdresser. Wedding venues often have a recommended list – it is in the venues interest to only recommend hairdressers that are both talented and reliable.
- It is also worth viewing the Internet, Facebook or Pinterest to search for bridal hairdressers the pages should show examples of the hairdressers recent work.
I often get asked what is the difference between a salon offering a bridal hair service/package and a mobile bridal hairdresser. A bridal hairdresser is not on a timer! Most bridal hairdressers will only take one wedding per day which means that you can receive our undivided attention.
As most bridal hairdressers are self employed we can work on Sundays and bank holidays. With our experience we can often help with putting in your hair accessories, veil, jewellery and sometimes even helping you with your dress. We travel to you to help ensure a stress free day.
I would always recommend that you should book a trial before your wedding day. This gives you the opportunity to discuss the perfect style for you. You may have pictures of styles that you like or if still undecided ask to view the bridal hairdressers portfolio for inspiration. The trial will take approx 2 hours. I always ask the bride to wash their hair the day before the trial as when putting hair up it is best not to have the hair soft. I always ask to see pictures of the dress, hair accessories etc. as this will help the bridal hairdresser to build the whole look.
