Are you having your wedding day at the height of summer?
Are you marrying abroad where the weather will be more than likely, Hot!
The weather is one thing, especially in the UK, where you cannot guarantee dry, warm weather even in the summer months.
Think about how you will keep cool and avoid over heating of you and your guests with these few simple tips.
- Before getting in your wedding gown, apply some good quality high factor sun screen. Ensure also, that any foundation make up, contains some SPF.
- Dress as late as you can before the ceremony. Wedding gowns do not tend to be cool especially the larger designs.
- Think about small parasols for you and your bridesmaids. This can help to keep the sun off in between photo posing opportunities.
- Hand fans can be bought very cheap and will be much appreciated by your guests while they are waiting at the venue for your arrival. Also, have one for yourself for the journey to and from the venue.
- Ensure there are plenty of shady areas for your guests to stand in while photos are being taken. Get cool drinks served to them while they wait.
- Check with your venue’s function room that the windows will be opened before guests start arriving and that any air conditioning is turned on and in good working order. You can hire air con units too so make sure you ask your venue if this is an option.
- Another venue must is to make sure they are storing your cake and any food at the correct temperature. You don’t want your cake melting before you cut it.
- And last but in no means least, keep fluids up to maximum for everyone. Have jugs of water available on the tables and ensure they are kept topped up with cool water throughout the day.
