3 Simple Tips For Saving Money
Although your wedding day is one of the most special days, getting married can also be a very expensive time!
We all want our big day to go to plan and be exactly what we dream of but sometimes the budget will not stretch to some suppliers costs….
There are simply hundreds of tips to save money for your special day and I want to share just 3 with you on this blog post:
Tip 1 – The Dress:
Wedding dresses are usually only worn for the one day and many people choose to re-sell them or send them to charity shops so others can make use of them for their day. Check out second hand sites and online stores to find a bargain. Charity shops are also great for finding your dress so keep a look out in your local charity shops – you will also be donating to a good cause too when you purchase it. These are great for bridesmaids dresses too!
Tip 2 – Flowers:
Although it is lovely to be able to order your perfect wedding bouquet, it is also easy to create your own with a little patience and creativity. One way is to buy silk flowers and make it yourself but another idea is to grow your own blooms! All you will need is a small area in the garden, some seeds or seedlings at the right time of year, a little bit of TLC and voila! Flowers for your wedding! A simple coloured ribbon to match your theme will bind the blooms together for ease of holding your special bouquet on the day. And you can feel proud that you made it yourself as you walk down the aisle!
Tip 3 – Invites:
Why not think about saving on printing and postage for your wedding invites, save the day cards, evening invitations etc…Create these on the computer and email them to all your friends. Close family members may want an actual invite etc so think carefully about just having a few made up for them to keep but email everyone else with the details. You can also produce a website for FREE on the Internet now whereby you can send all your friends and family to so they can keep up to date with details for the whole event.
