Jade & Jason…
Wedding Date: August 2014.
Where did you meet?
Me and my partner work with challenging young people. One day one of these young people became aggressive towards me and Jason had to step in and restrain him. I suppose you could say he was my knight in shining amour :)
How long was your engagement?
Just under 3 years! We got engaged September 2011 found out we was having our amazing little boy in October 2011 and married in August 2014.
Where did you get married and why?
We got married at Blake hall in Ongar. We chose this venue as we loved the look of the barn. We did look at other barn venues including Crondon park but I loved how Blake hall had the cottage to stay in the night before and of the wedding.
Did you have a colour scheme or theme to your wedding?
We had a deep pink colour theme for our wedding this was decided when we went bridesmaid dress shopping as I felt the pastel colours didn’t stand out enough next to the brides dress.
How long did you plan your big day?
The planning started January 2012 when we booked Blake hall and it all continued from there.
What was the main highlight of your day?
The main highlight of our day was walking down the aisle and seeing that look in both our eyes as we said our vows :)
What was your cake like?
Our cake was huge lol. It was 5 tiers all wrapped in white chocolate. Each tier was a different flavour and we still have a freezer full. LOL.
What music did you have for your first dance and why?
As I walked down the aisle I chose a thousand years by Christina Perry from the film twilight. The film is very special to both of us. For our first dance we had Cascada ‘Every time we touch’ but the slow version which my friend sang who was on X factor last year which was even more amazing having her sing it live :)
What flowers did you choose and why?
My flowers were a mixture of cream roses and pink gerberas the bridesmaids had the same but in a smaller version.
What are you looking forward to as a married couple?
We cannot wait to make lots of memories as a family in the future.
Any other Information you would like to add?
We had a silly waiter during the reception drinks and food he was amazing he was so entertaining. All our guests said he was the final touch to our day and they had never seen anything like it before. Another touch which was commented on quite a lot after our wedding was we let off balloons in our colour scheme with the names on of the people who sadly couldn’t be with us. Was emotional but lovely.
